Conference Training

Al_Baxter-Motorcycles-2021

Al_Baxter-Motorcycles-2021Vehicle Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Training is one of the cornerstones of the SCARs organization. Indeed, it is in large part WHY the organization was formed. Training presentations come from a wide variety of speakers and cover many areas of importance in Vehicle Accident Investigation.

Some of the more well known speakers at previous conferences include –

  • Jeff Muttart on a variety of Human Factors Topics
  • TJ Tenant on various issues of and with Tires
  • John Daily on a wide variety of Vehicle Accident issues – Spin Analysis, Time-speed-distance, Yaw, and Heavy Truck considerations are just a few of the areas he has covered in the past
  • Al Baxter on Motorcycles
  • Brad Muir and Jon Northrup on EDR/CDR issues and Updates

In addition to the above speakers, we have had many other speakers who have presented on a variety of issues  such as:

  • Cooperation between agencies, attorneys, and others for the best resolution of cases
  • Sources of information and evidence to consider in Heavy Truck incident investigations
  • Motorcycles
  • Bicycles
  • Pedestrians
  • Crush Stiffness values
  • Traffic Signal Timing
  • Pole/Narrow object impacts
  • Time-Speed-Distance considerations
  • Roadway design and signage issues contributing to a collision, or helping to avoid one

The above is just a small sample of the Vehicle Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Training which has been presented in past conferences. The attendees have commented that this training has been of benefit to both the civilian and the Law Enforcement investigator/reconstructionist, as well as to the beginner, or the “old fart”. So come to one of our conferences, give us a try, we strive to make sure that we have something for everyone!!
