Wednesday – Hump Day – and we are half way through the 2022 conference.
We started the conference with 3 Crash Tests on Monday. Inspite of a few minor technical glitches, we were able to get the planned 3 tests off, get data, video, and photographs, stay dry, at least as far as rain is concerned, and have fun!!
For the three crash tests we hit one vehicle over the front axle, one vehicle over the rear axle, and one over the front corner with the PDOF going through the CG.
On Tuesday John Daily presented on Crash Testing through the years, and Tony Becker presented on Digital Forensics and Heavy Vehicle Event Data Recorders.
On Wednesday Bryan Miller and Ken Richardson presented on S-cam Brake Inspections, which included hands on with a “Teaching Trailer”. Greg Russell followed with a presentation on PIX4D and UAV’s hints and tips, ways to look at delta-v and tires, and CAD techniques.
So, three days are done with lots of good training, and a day and a half yet to go. If you in need of training, consider coming to a SCARS conference …. but register early as once we reach our limit for attendance, our limit is reached.
